"I never met Art but he married my mother's 1st cousin and through the emails and whatever I've gotten to know Tracy and Teri Lyn and I know from speaking to them just how much their father met to them. My deepest sympathies go to all those who had the pleasure of knowing Art because from what I've heard he was a great human being who left a lasting impression on all those who knew him. My deepest sympathies and condolences go to his wife Betty and her family; his daughters Tracy and Teri-Lyn and their families. "

"Tracy, I am so very very sorry to learn of your Dad\'s passing. I know how much you love him and treasure the bond you have with him. I remember going to your parent\'s place whenever we needed a weekend break from school ... they treated us like royalty. Their home was always so warm and welcoming. Your Dad was a lovely man who adored you. BIG hugs my dear friend. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. "

"Art was a genuinely fine person, who put family first. Over the years I knew him - over four decades- he was a really \"good guy\". He was always willing to pitch in and was a quiet leader, who people turned to in times of need. We\'ll certainly miss him and we share your shock and sadness. Our hearts go out to Betty, his soul mate, Tracey and Teri-lyn & grandchildren."

"When we met Art, we knew we had met someone special. That became even more apparent to us, after reading the tribute written by his family. To leave behind a deep impression upon his children, family, and friends, makes one miss him even more. We had good times with Art & Betty. From a Nascar Race, to the many gatherings here in the park, his presence made things fun. An empty chair was left for Art during the Daytona 500 Race. A bottle of Appleton Estate remains on our shelf. He will be missed by all of us. Our hearts go out to his wife, family, and closest friends. "

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and all who knew and loved your father. Losing a parent can be a most difficult thing, but take comfort in knowing that the spirit of your father will continue to live through you, just as a butterfly emerges from its cocoon and flies high in the sky. He will be in your heart, memory and soul always, as he helped create you, guide you and teach you. His memory will remain throught you as an extension of his love by which you do the same; guide and teach others through example and experience. Be strong and take comfort in knowing, that just as the butterfly gently appears on a warm summer day, a song, a place, a date, or an item will serve as a gentle reminder that the spirit of your father will remain close by always. "You will see glimmers of Art when you blurt out something “just like Dad would say”, catch yourself off guard in the mirror, in your children’s gestures and those of your own. It will be in those moments that you realize he has never left you and that he will forever be a part of your every day. All my love to Tracy, Teri-lyn, Betty and the rest of the family. - Julie Moore"

"We first met Art and Betty at St.Martin\'s when they came to visit \"Sis\" and Buster. We soon realized Art was a great husband, a caring father and a good friend to those lucky enough to be his trailering companions. Art made such an impression that even though we met just once more we often spoke of him and Betty. We were shocked to hear of his passing and wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to Betty, his daughters, grandchildren, sister, brothers and all others who will so miss such a great guy!"

"Dear Betty & family, we are deeply saddened & shocked to learn of Art\'s sudden passing. We only learned of it today. The 5 years that I worked for him were fantastic. He was the ultimate boss and I learned so much from him. In fact, even today I think of him often as when faced with a tough decision I ask myself what would Art do or how would he handle this. I\'ll never forget one of the first things he said to me - \"make the hard decision - they will not always like you for it, but they will respect you for it\". I am very regretful that with our busy lives that we didn\'t keep in touch after his retirement. We share some wonderful memories with you and Art. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. Sincerely, David & Kelley Button & family"
